How And Why Evolve A Pokemon Mid Battle In 'Pokemon Duel'
Evolving a Pokemon mid battle in "Pokemon Duel" grants the pocket monster a 10 points damage bonus. This has been used by a number of players to have an edge during battle and to ensure victory.
The first thing to remember in evolving a Pokemon mid battle in "Pokemo Duel" is that a player must already own the evolution of the particular pocket monster to be evolved. According to Primagames, players choose to evolve a Pokemon mid battle instead of taking an evolved Pokemon because of the stat bonuses gained from evolving a pocket monster in the middle of the match.
The only drawback in trying to evolve a Pokemon mid battle in "Pokemon Duel" is that a player must win a battle using the chosen pocket monster to be evolved to trigger its evolution. This is why planning which pocket monsters to bring in "Pokemon Duel" battles is important. Basically, the choice would depend on whether or not going into battle with just the Pokemon's base form still gives a player the chance to win.
According to IGN, a player must first customize his deck before going into battle to evolve a Pokemon in the middle of the match. Pokemons with dull blue dots at the bottom of their pictures are capable of evolving. To key in an evolution, a player must go to Edit Figures then select what evolved form will the Pokemon turn into during a "Pokemon Duel" battle.
If the steps are properly followed, the blue dot at the bottom of the pocket monster's image will lit up. Now, the next thing to do is to trigger the evolution. To evolve a Pokemon mid battle in "Pokemon Duel" the pocket monster with pre-inputted evolution must win during a battle.
After winning a battle, a player will then be given an option to evolve the Pokemon or not. Though it is highly advisable to evolve during the "Pokemon Duel" battle some players chooses not to due to strategic reasons.
