'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2' Super Bowl Trailer Features New Characters, Baby Groot
Marvel released the latest "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" trailer during the recently concluded 2017 Super Bowl LI. The latest trailer featured some of the new faces that fans of the superhero movie franchise will be seeing in the movie when it is officially released in cinemas.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" Super Bowl LI trailer began with a villainous voice uttering the words "just who in the hell do you think you are?" The new "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" enemy, the all gold Ayesha played by Elizabeth Debicki, was then zoomed in.
According to Metro, the one minute "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" trailer showcased all the members of the band of unlikely heroes. This includes the original members; Star-lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax and Baby Groot. Adding to the original five man team are new members; Nebula, Yondu and Mantis.
Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff, is a new comer in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" universe. The other two additional members, Nebula (Karen Gilla) and Yondu (Michael Rooker), were already seen in the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie.
Though not seen in the new "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" trailer, Kurt Russell's appearance in the movie has already been confirmed. Russell will be playing the role of Star-lord's (Chris Pratt) father. Russell's role, aside from being the father of Star-lord, is also known as Ego the Living Planet.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" will feature Star-lord meeting his long lost father. Ego the Living Planet in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" is described by Variety as an enigmatic cosmic being. Ego is also said to be the one who raised Mantis.
Chris Sullivan who will be playing the role of Taserface is also set to join the movie although his character is not featured in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" new trailer. The movie is set to hit cinemas on May 5.
