Samsung Galaxy S8's Al Assistant: Bixby Supports 8 Languages, Beats Google Assistant

Samsung Galaxy S8 is all known to arrive with a synthetic intelligence virtual assistant named Bixby. Recent speculations depict Bixby to be more efficient than its competitors, and that makes it thoroughly merged within the system.

Bixby appeared earlier than the Galaxy S8, which is to be unleashed on March. This virtual assistant will support up to eight languages at launch, including English, Korean and Chinese, SamMobile reported.

With its more advanced function, Bixby boosts it out against the five languages Google Assistant supported. However, topping them is the Apple's Siri, which supports more than 20 distinct languages.

Bixby is likely to be adept in identifying actual world entities through the camera of Galaxy S8. It will trace recognized items online, enabling users to make fast purchases.

Optical figure recognition is also another asset of Bixby. This enable the Al assistant to transform any text detected in the phone's camera frame. It is supposedly to aid users interpret words to economize time while duplicating and pasting the details.

According to CNET, Bixby is not the first case Samsung acquired to displaced Google. In fact, the company aspired to replace voice search tool in Google with its personal label S Voice app. Furthermore, this opportunity is for Samsung to establish other software functions of its own.

Samsung has been widely present on preloaded apps and obstructs some of the services. Therefore, it will be appealing to witness how great Bixby will compete with more refined assistants nowadays.

Meanwhile, Samsung will not introduce its latest Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress on Feb. 27. This is to give way for its competitors planned to release their devices on the event.

Samsung is targeting the right timing of momentum due to its failed Galaxy Note 7. It will set to release the Galaxy S8 on March 29 and sell on April 20.
