A couple of weeks ago, the users have come one of the annoying problems with Google Pixel. Some of the users complained of sound issues that the search engine giant promised to fix soon. The users experienced distorted sound on the highest volume setting. Moreover, the issue affected both the users of Pixel and Pixel XL models. The company had acknowledged the issue in December and believed it to be the result of a hardware issue.

However, it was definitely a good news for the Google Pixel smartphone users since the sound problem was not a result of hardware issue. The search engine biggie offered to fix the issue without mentioning any date for the update arrival.

Interestingly, it seems the problem would finally get fixed and the Google Pixel users would be able to get rid of the speaker distortion. As Phone Arena reported, Google is all set to fix the problem in its February security update that has been released. However, it has not mentioned about the bug in its update's change log.

In fact, the users who complained of the sound distortion they experienced after purchasing Google Pixel seemed to disappear after getting the latest update. It seems too early to be happy since there remain some glitches which haven't been solved yet.

This includes a constant static and popping sounds that some Google Pixel users complained of as BGR reported. However, several users are still having the same problem and Google doesn't seem to have fixed it yet and it might as well be just a coincidence.

According to reports, the users have no idea how the problem got fixed or how it arose. Some of the tech experts feel it occurred due to QR processing that toned down certain bands and prevented the speaker from getting overloaded. Some other Google Pixel users feel there might have been some software update issue that resulted in the problem and installing custom ROMs on the device might have fixed the issue.
