Danger In Dripping E-Cigarette Containing High Level Of Nicotine
The study shows that in every four high school teens that are using e-cigarettes have tried doing the new vaping method called dripping. Dripping has been so popular with students however little did they know that this new vaping method is unsafe and its effect on health is alarming.
The word dripping technically stands for dropping e-cigarette wherein it involves vaporizing the e-liquid at a higher level of temperature by dripping a couple of drops of e-liquid directly to the atomizer's coil and inhaling the vapor being produced. In the research study published in the journal Pediatrics, 64 percent of the surveyed teens are dripping for a thicker smoke.
While e-cigarette the USA today defined it as a device operated by a battery wherein it will heat the liquid and turned it into vapor rather than smoke that technically this is what a one person inhales. It is still debatable whether e-cigarettes are safe, however, one of the main concerns about e-cigarettes is that it contains a varying level of nicotine wherein when using the method "dripping" could lead to a higher exposure to nicotine. Not all e-cigarettes contain nicotine but once an e-cigarette has a high level of nicotine this could lead to stronger hits too.
Suchitra Krishnan-Sarin, a Yale professor of psychiatry who studied the substance that can affect and abuse behavior said, "The teen brain has been shown especially sensitive to nicotine." Ironically, even though this one has a great effect on the brain, there have been a lot of alternative uses for this e-cigarette device like smoke tricks and competitions have started all around the world.
At the same time, dripping has been rampant among white males and while debates about this are rising, Sarin, however, said that it needs a deeper research about it to see what are the short and long te,rm-effect of e-cigarettes.
