Heartbreaking Story: Two Brothers Regard As 'Ghost' Due To Their Genetic Disorder
Ramesh Jadhav, 8 years old and Laxman Jadhav, 13 years old are two brothers that are suffering from a rare genetic disorder. Due to this, the two brothers were forced to stay at home fear of being judged.
This rare genetic order caused two brothers not to develop teeth and depends solely on a liquid diet. What's more startling at the very young age, was that the two brothers experienced high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and arthritis.
Diagnosis from doctors in US and Germany are unsure what is the reason behind this rare genetic disorder with the two brothers. Worse case, the doctors can't prescribe any treatment or therapy as of this moment because of the unclear condition of two brothers.
Their mother Savita and father AnkushJadhav are in deep pain seeing their children suffering from this rare genetic disorder. They are hoping that there will be a medical breakthrough for their children.
According to Savita, while looking for an answer and the right treatment for this rare genetic disorder it caused them, to spend every penny they have. "We do not expect any miracles but we do want someone to make life comfortable for them," she added.
In their town, the neighbors are used to see this rare genetic disorder present with Ramesh and Laxman, however, not with the strangers. Ramesh recalled one incident when strangers called them "ghost" and this caused them to develop a fear of being misjudged outside the home.
Dr. Aayush Gupta, an assistant professor, at DY Patil Hospital, in Pune helped the family by referring the case to Progeria Research Foundation in the US, however, according to the foundation, it is not progeria.
When referred to the Institute of Human Genetics University Medical Centre in Germany, the doctors said that it has a similarity with the genetic progeroid condition but it needs a wider research to confirm.
Despite this rare genetic disorder, the two brothers are desperate in achieving their dreams to become doctors, however, both of them know that this would be impossible without getting a proper education. "We both want to be doctors but we know our dream cannot be accomplished because we don't go to school for studies," Ramesh added via Daily Mail.
