Huawei P10, P10 Plus Specs, Price, Release Date: Co-Engineered with Leica, Powered with Kirin 960, Release Only in Canada? Not U.S.? [VIDEO]
After the success release of Huawei’s current flagship smartphone, the Huawei P9, another smartphone is set to be released by the Chinese smartphone company. Huawei P10 and P10 Plus was announced by Huawei at the MWC 2017 which happened in Barcelona.
According to News18, the Huawei P10 would come in two variants. Of course, the P10 with a smaller screen while the P10 Plus with a larger display. Coming in Ceramic White, Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, Rose Gold and Mystic Silver, Huawei P10 is said to sport a 5.1-inch LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pi. Meanwhile, the P10 would have 5.5-inch LCD with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 534ppi.
What’s under its hood, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus is said to be both powered by 2.4GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 960 processor. The difference is said to be in terms of RAM and memory. Huawei P10 is said to have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of ROM. While the more powerful P10 Plus goes at 6 GB RAM with 128 GB ROM. Both smartphone’s memory is said to be expandable up to 256 GB. Both is also mentioned to run on Huawei’s own EMUI 5.1 and would run Android 7.0.
Furthermore, the camera feature of the two smartphones has been co-engineered with the usual Leica. Rear cameras, 12MP color sensor, and a 20MP monochrome sensor are said to also have 3D face recognition features as well. The front camera is then said to have 8 megapixels. The fingerprint is then moved from the usual rear position to the physical home button in the front.
Huawei P10’s battery would run on 2,900 mAh while P10 Plus would have a 3,750 mAh battery. Both will have a SuperCharge technology. The Huawei P10 would be on sale at €649, while the P10+ costs €699 for the 4 GB RAM 64GB. Its 6 GB RAM with 128 GB ROM is then said to cost €799. Yet no official confirmation on release date had been received.
Regarding its release in Europe and U.K, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus is said to be only released in Canada and not in the United States. Android Central reported that Huawei P10 would be launched on Rogers, Bell, Fido and Videotron. Meanwhile, the Huawei P10 Plus is said to be on Rogers exclusive.
Huawei’s vice-president of corporate affairs, Scott Bradley then mentioned that their Nexus P6 was popular with Canadians, which improved their brand name there. With that, the company was also mentioned to invest more company into their pursuance of taking their smartphone in Canada once more.
