Apple's Newest Feature: To Use OLED Screen On All iPhones By 2019

Apple never fails to surprise its users with their products' upgrades. Just now, Apple allegedly planned to utilize OLED screen on all iPhones. After the reputed multi-billion dollar contract with Samsung were signed, the latter will be providing Apple the AMOLED displays.

Rumors say Apple's iPhone 8 next look would be the edge-to-edge OLED display, CNET reported. However, since LCD is used in previous iPhone units already, it is speculated that the company will employ this feature to the new ones. In other words, for the anticipated iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, LCD will still be utilized.

But in some years time, perhaps they will use OLED to the preceding models. It is believed that all iPhones will have this feature by 2019, according to Business Insider. This is favorable for Apple users since it displays higher quality colors, resolution, contrast and brightness compared to LCD. If so, whatever you see on the screen would look great.

Also expect that if Apple pursued this new feature, the price would be remarkably high. OLED panels are expensive and difficult to produce. Its manufacturers are spreading its workshops in Asia. Thus, these factories may produce more displays more efficiently and effectively.

OLED, or the Organic Light Emitting Diode, is a thin-film display tech which gives out light as a reaction to an electric current. AMOLED, or the Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode, is more advanced. Basically, it can create larger displays because it contains 2 TFT displays, which is used in LCD.

Nevertheless, Apple hasn't released any apparent report until now. Though its OLED screen supply chain, The Bell, announced to the public, it is still better to wait for the company's official statement, stated by Science Times.

Meanwhile, Apple consumers expressed their positive response about this matter. Although it is not yet confirmed from the company, they are already looking forward to the next iPhone model. And I'm certain they are not reluctant in purchasing another one of Apple's trendy product, especially iPhone units. Whether it's OLED display or not, I'm pretty sure the fans will still adore the company's latest gizmo.
