‘Clash Royale’ Latest News: Supercell Confirms Major Update; Introduces 2V2 Clan Battle Mode & 4 New Cards
"Clash Royale," the massively popular real-time strategy game developed by Supercell, is about to receive a major update. Supercell is all but ready to roll out a 2-versus-2 Clan Battle Mode in addition to the 4 new cards about to be introduced in the coming weeks.
According to the official "Clash Royale" YouTube Channel, Supercell is about to roll out the new 2V2 clan battle mode in the coming days. The 2v2 Clan Battle Mode works like the traditional 1v1 battle, but this time, a player has to work with a clan-mate to battle against 2 opposing players from another clan. The first Clan Battle is set on Mar. 24.
Each player would have their own 10 elixir bar. Before the battle starts, a player would see his or her partner's cards and during the game, the teammates would not see each other's deck. Resources such as Rage and Freeze spells would benefit the team-mates but other structures, such as the Pump would only work for the player who summons it.
For the 2V2 battle mode of "Clash Royale," the arena would be extended by 2 tiles and the King Towers would be connected with a shield emblem. The King Tower would have twice the firepower and would have an increased hit-point.
The "Clash Royale" Clan Chest Challenge, on the other hand, will now occur only on every other weekend once the 2V2 Clan Battle Mode is live. The Clan chest cycle would then be moved to Friday to Monday instead of the usual Monday to Thursday Cycle.
According to Clash Royale Arena, 4 new cards are going to be introduced in the coming weeks. The four cards include the Bandit, the Night Witch, Bats, and Heal.
The Bandit is a legendary card that would be officially launched on Mar. 24. However, players can get their hands on the Bandit during the "Clash Royale" Bandit Draft Challenge on the 17th this month. The Bandit, a quick melee attacker that costs 3 elixirs to summon, can dash 4 to 6 tiles.
The Bats is a common troop-type card that which costs 2 elixirs to play. Once summoned, 4 Bats would appear in the arena having the same HP and damage as the Skeletons already in "Clash Royale."
The Night Witch is a 4-elixir, legendary card that are stronger than the ordinary Witch in "Clash Royale." The Night Witch summons Bats at a faster rate than the normal Witch which summons the Skeletons.
The Heal is a spell-type rare card that can be deployed using 3 elixirs. The Heal Spell works the same way like the "Clash of Clans" but in "Clash Royale, the Heal Spell has a huge 3-tile radius and can heal any troops in its radius. However, it does not have an effect on structures.
