Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 6 Plus April 19 Launch Confirmed: Learn Price Details, Specs Here
It is official and confirmed that Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus will be launched on 19 April in Beijing China. Pricing and other details about the two new flagships were also leaked out.
According to Gizbot, the Chinese company removed the fingerprint scanner on the home button of the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. The smartphones' creators integrated a sense of gestures in the two handsets instead.
The expected costs of the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus were also revealed earlier before launching announcement was made. These might be a great help for potential buyers to choose what device suit their budget.
According to Tech2, Xiaomi Mi 6 with 64GB and 4GB RAM is likely to be priced at 2199 yuan, which is approximately Rs. 20,500 / $320. On the other hand, its 128GB with 4GB RAM model is expected to arrive with 2599 yuan (approx. Rs. 24,000 / $378) price tag.
The possible pricing for Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, which has three models all sporting 6GB RAM was also released online. Its 64GB and 128GB variants are believed to cost 2699 yuan (approx. Rs. 25,000 / $392) and 3099 yuan (approx. Rs. 29,000 / $450) respectively. The most expensive is the 256GB variant having 3699 yuan (approx. Rs. 35,500 / $537) price tag.
In terms of specs, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is likely to arrive with 5.1-inch full-HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixel) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with an Adreno 540 GPU. The handset will also be having a 4000 mAh battery, Quick Charge 4.0 technology, 64GB or 128GB built-in storage, and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
For its photography performance, Xiaomi Mi 6 is said to have cameras that both could shoot 4K video. The smartphone has a rear camera with 12-megapixel and an 8-megapixel front camera.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will be fitted with curved edges of Quad HD 2K OLED display and dual rear camera system. Other specs are similar to its smaller sibling. A benchmarking website called GFX Bench dubbed the hardware as "Xiaomi Sagit."
