7 Healthy Burger Recipes For The Weekend
We love to eat burgers despite knowing that these are junk foods. It is time for us to turn those tasty dishes into nutritious ones. Try out these healthy burger recipes this weekend at home, and be prepared to fall in love with them.
1. Chickpea lentil jalapeno burger with sweet mango avocado pico
To make this amazing healthy vegan burger, prepare chickpea, lentil, and jalapeno patty by blending and grilling these together. Make sure to add salt and paper as required before grilling them. Mix diced avocado and sweet mango with little salt in a bowl and refrigerate it for a while to be used as topping. Buns made of whole wheat may also be used as these are healthier than white bread.
2. Sweet potato burger with avocado ranch
Sweet potato, grated white cheddar cheese, and cooked quinoa are blended together with cilantro and salt to make patties for burgers. These patties are topped with avocado ranch and fresh tomato with lettuce bed on the bread. Avocado ranch is prepared by blending avocado, Greek yogurt, paprika, and other herbs with little vinegar. This avocado ranch is fresh and nutritious and could be used instead of mayo, which is the usual ingredient in burgers.
3. Balsamic portobello mushroom burger
Mushrooms are soaked in balsamic vinegar and garlic and grilled to be used as bugger patties and topped with roasted or grilled red pepper. Fresh goat cheese and other herbs are used for dressing the awesome vegan burger.
4. Turkey Burgers with Zucchini Buns
Turkey patties are made with minced turkey meat, grilled with added herbs, salt and spice for non-vegan food lovers. Grilled zucchini is used instead of buns. Turkey patty is placed on the zucchini bed upon which freshly cut tomato slices and avocado are placed and closed with another piece of zucchini.
5. Pistachio broccoli burger
Steamed broccoli is blended with pistachio, sea salt, and chilli flakes and made into patties with oat flakes or seeds. The patties are shallow fried with olive oil for two to three minutes. These are ready to eat with any topping of choice.
