Ford Recall 2015 List: Almost 1M 2014 Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, Ford Edges, Ford Fiesta, Transit Connect & More
Ford Motor announced over one million vehicle recalls over the last few days due to various safety problems, according to CNN. The American automaker issued multiple recalls on models, such as Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fiesta, in the last week.
Various vehicles were recalled this year because of some problems. The 2013 to 2015 models of Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ along with a few 2015 Ford Edges were having problems with steering. More than 500,000 vehicles were recalled for the first two models mentioned.
In an earlier report by NY Daily News, more than 350,000 Ford Fusion (2013-2014), Ford Fiesta (2012-2014), and Lincoln MKZ cars sold in the United States, Canada, and Mexico last Friday were recalled for latch problems.
According to Ford's safety notice, "If a customer is then able to latch the door, there is potential the door may unlatch while driving, increasing the risk of injury." All door latches will be replaced for free in authorized dealer centers.
Ford also issued recalls for more than 50,000 Ford Focus, Edge Escape, and Transit vehicles 2014 models and Ford Fiesta 2014-2015 models for a fuel pump issue. CBC Canada reports that this issue can cause the car to stall while operating or not start at all.
The final recall involved the 2015 Ford F-150 models due to fire hazard risk. The problem lies in the heat shield found in the underbody which could increase fire risk.

According to Inquisitr, all vehicles affected and recalled should be taken to an authorized Ford dealership center so that issues can be resolved for free.
