While celebrating, people tend to eat more and forget their diet, but there are some healthy dishes that can be prepared for celebrations. Listed below are some healthy dishes to prepare for Memorial Day 2015.

1. Barbecued Meat Served with Tessemae's BBQ Sauce

Fox News suggests purchasing a bottle of Tessemae's Matty's BBQ sauce to add while grilling meat in the backyard this Memorial Day. This sauce is not only gluten-free, it is also vegan, paleo-approved and to top it all off, it is sugar-free.

2. Salad from Earthbound Farm

Add a side of salad to go with the barbecued meat and it completes a delicious, yet healthy Memorial Day meal. Earthbound Farm offers three salad kits that come in "festive flavors," according to Fox News. These kits make salad easy to prepare as it includes all the vegetables needed and the dressing as well. Simply place in a decorative or festive salad bowl and serve

The three flavors for the salad kits are as follows:

  • Garden Party Salad: Fresh greens, dried blueberries and cranberries, sunflower seeds, feta cheese and raspberry vinaigrette.
  • Sun-Washed Mediterranean Salad: Fresh greens, sun dried tomatoes, roasted chickpeas, feta cheese and Greek olive dressing.
  • Kale Caesar: Baby kale, cabbage, shredded carrots, sunflower seeds, Parmesan cheese, multigrain croutons and a spicy light Caesar dressing.
