Actor Charlie Sheen wa reportedly hospitalized after eating a bad batch of clams.

The 49-year-old actor was rushed to an emergency room in Los Angeles after suffering from extreme food poisoning brought about by a seafood pasta dish.

"It was clams, bad clams," Sheen's representative, Jeff Ballard, told E! Online.

"Just to be on the safe side, he went to the hospital," Ballard continued. "They checked him out, hydrated him and sent him on his way. He was back home in bed 90 minutes later."

According to Gossip Cop, the former "Two and a Half Men" alum reportedly called the Los Angeles fire department at around 11 p.m. Pacific Time, asking for help because of a medical emergency.

Paramedics then came to his home where he was treated on site. It was unusual that Sheen's camp or himself would call the fire department instead of 911, where conversations are automatically recorded.

The gossip website listed Sheen's previous trips to the hospitals and even cited the actor's dismissal from the comedy sitcom "Two and a Half Men."

The incident at 2011 landed Sheen at the hospital allegedly because of a drug overdose or something similar, but it turned out that the actor was suffering from hernia. In 2010, he was also hospitalized for some "allergies."

Last month, in an interview with Extra, Sheen admitted that he regretted what happened with his old job as the star of "Two and a Half Men".

Sheen told "Extra's" Charissa Thompson: "Yeah, I should have been a little more humble, more regretful, shouldn't have attacked them like I did and I probably should have begged for my job back."

The actor added that he should have begged to get his old job and that it would have been "fixable, and I made it irreparable."

Just days before, the actor tweeted something against his ex-wife, Denise Richards.

Radar Online reported that Sheen deleted the message immediately after tweeting it. The message read: "This rules, the name Denise Richards as an anagram or jumbled means; 'Charred Insides,' purr-fect." He concluded the tweet with a toilet emoji.

An uncited insider told Radar that the bickering was due to Denise's alleged moving out.

"Charlie is upset that Denise is moving out of the Mulholland Estates neighborhood where he lives," the insider said.

Richards also put up her $8 million luxurious Hidden Hills mansion for sale.

An unnamed real estate agent told Radar: "Denise is now looking for a house in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, or Malibu because the girls (daughters Sam and Lola) will be going to a new school in that area in the fall."
