Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge Split: Break Up Due to Parenting Struggles? [Rumors]
Almost four years into their relationship and having gone through a three-year engagement, Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge have called it quits.
Multiple sources confirmed to US Weekly that the 33-year-old actress will not be pushing through wedding bell plans with the English actor (who is four years his junior).
Gossip Cop noted that Miller and Sturridge first met in 2011. A year into the relationship, Miller became pregnant with their first child, Marlowe. The two became engaged thereafter. Their sweet angel, Marlowe, is now 3 years old.
News of the breakup came shortly after the pair was spotted vacationing together in Spain earlier this month. They were also present together during Vanity Fair's Oscars party in February, where they posed on the red carpet with Robert Pattinson. Miller was also around to support Sturridge at an after-party, celebrating his performance in American Buffalo in April.
The marriage would have been the first for both. Miller had a colorful love life prior to Sturridge. She was formerly engaged to Jude Law before being linked to Balthazar Getty. On the other hand, Sturridge did not jump on Hollywood's dating circuit before having a relationship with Miller.
The ex-couple were facing relationship woes prior to the eventual split. They supposedly could not find a balance between their acting careers as well as raising their child, NYDailyNews reported.
In an interview with Vogue published in January, Sienna implied her fears of having to support both child and partner on her own. She uttered the hint while discussing her role as a window in Clint Eastwood's Oscar-nominated drama "American Sniper".
"I had a huge amount of empathy for Taya," Miller told. "To be going through motherhood on her own, not knowing whether her husband would survive every day, I can't imagine how difficult that would be."
Nonetheless, she describes Sturridge as grounded, intelligent, kind, and an intact kind of person. It can be assumed that the split was mutual and both sides carried no vitriol towards the other in the end.
Sturridge is wrapping up on "Remainder", an Omer Fast drama set to release this year in the UK. A North American release date has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile; Miller, acclaimed for her role in "American Sniper", has her hands full on two projects. She is currently working on pre-production for "Live by Night" and "The Lost City of Z". Both movies are set to release next year.
