How to get the perfect bum and #belfie shots
The latest photo op trend for celebrities is the #belfie, also known as the butt selfie. According to the video seen below, there have been an increase of belfies on social media sites lately, and celebrities are no exception.
While it may seem simple, belfie lovers know that it is more complicated than it looks. Apparently, one must consider the angle, the lighting, and even the location, before taking a belfie good enough to post online.
The number one must have, though, before taking any belfies is a good-looking bum. There are several basic exercises to get a good behind to start a belfie album.
Fortunately, there are plenty of butt exercises that can be done at home. According to About Health, squats are the number one favorite butt exercise.
Squats are easy to do and workout more than just your glutes. This exercise also targets the hips, thighs and calves. About Health suggests starting off with 2-3 sets of 8-16 reps.
Lunges are also a good exercise for the rear area. Plus, lunges enable you to work out multiple muscles simultaneously, states About Health.
The basic lunge will hit the butt muscles and hamstrings on the front leg, while hitting the quads and calves on the back leg.
After getting the perfect bum, you are now ready for belfies. Before taking a butt selfie, however, there are several things to consider.
One important consideration is costume, says Women's Health Magazine. There are lots of belfies floating around that leave little to the imagination. However, Women's Health Magazine advises against that trend and following Khloe Kardashian's lead.
Khloe posted a picture of her derriere months ago, while wearing leopard-printed tights, which gave the belfie a demure look while still giving us a nice view of Khloe's behind.
Next on the list of belfie considerations is the angle. Angles can do wonders in any picture and same goes for belfies. According to the video below, lots of people have even used a belfie stick to get better angles!
The Smell Boutique suggests laying down on your stomach and lifting your bum a bit for a nice well-rounded butt effect. You can also try twisting your body a little so that your waist looks slimmer.
Another important thing to consider is the lighting. When taking a belfie always remember to turn off the flash, states Women's Health Magazine. The Small Boutique explains that the flash will show all the imperfections of the bum region, including cellulite and maybe even zits.
Other things to consider before taking a belfie are location and which device you use.
