Jessica Alba diet and fitness secrets: Actress shows bikini-ready body while vacationing in Mexico
Jessica Alba sizzles in a white bikini while vacationing in the beautiful country of Mexico at Cancun this week, making everyone wonder how the mother of two has been able to achieve such physique.
Celebrity Health and Fitness reports that the actress credits the low-carb features of Paleo diet and CrossFit workout regimen as the secrets of her weight loss success.
Alba follows a strict low-carb diet by consuming organic fruits and vegetables, avoiding processed foods and trying to keep her eating habits clean and healthy. A known advocate of eco-friendly and organic products, Alba is the founder and owner of The Honest Company, which shows how dedicated she is in creating a holistic lifestyle.
Last May, Shape has featured the gorgeous and sexy Alba in a swimsuit shoot that pretty much made the whole world agree that she is indeed very comfortable in her skin. However, Alba shared that her body confidence only started after she has given birth to her two kids - seven-year-old Honor and three-year-old Haven.
She also revealed during the shoot that her love for fitness began when she filmed the hit TV series "Dark Angel." Alba said her athletic body has been formed by constant martial arts, dance, gymnastics and strength training during her filming days. This routine has made the actress strong and physically fit.
Furthermore, the CrossFit training she has had with coach Yumi Lee has helped the actress maintain the physique she has right now. Her CrossFit training includes spinning, cardio exercises and weight lifting.
The Examiner adds that Alba is also fond of doing yoga-based exercises like sun salutations and core moves which includes burpees, squat jumps, planks and mountain climber movements for 30 minutes. She enjoys listening to music like that of Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rihanna when she exercises because music keeps her motivated and helps her avoid boredom.
Alba sheepishly added that working out is not the best part of her routine, that is why she tries to combat her dislike by attending classes and surrounding herself with people to keep her motivated, hence the music. For her pre-workout snack, she makes a vegan protein shake that combines green tea, banana, coconut water and ice. It helps her feel full and keeps her satisfied before her next meal.
