Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green separation: couple calls it quits after 11 years together
The summer of divorce, separation and break-ups is still not over as another couple in a long-term relationship calls it quits, citing that the relationship has already been rocky for quite some time.
US Magazine reports that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, who has been married for five years but together as a couple for 11 years, have decided to split and are living separately for six months now. A source of the magazine has not specified the exact reason for the separation but has confirmed that things have not been going well for the couple for a long time.
The Daily Mail UK adds that the split could have been driven by an argument over Megan's movie career. One source states Megan has been obsessed with her acting gigs and has wanted to get more roles, of which Brian did not agree to. The actor wants his young wife to spend more time with him and the kids in their Los Angeles home.
Megan has been seen in several blockbuster movies like "Transformers" in 2007, its sequel in 2009, and "This is 40" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 2012. She is also worth $5 million alone, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Furthermore, Megan is apparently too independent for Brian's liking. The actress loves to do her own thing, and that's what irks Brian the most. One source explains that during the renovation of their $3.35 million home, which has been reported to be Megan's project, the actress is not around to supervise its development, leaving Brian to do deal with the designs, setups and management.
Megan and Brian have first met on the set of ABC's Hope & Faith in 2004 and has been together ever since, Fox News writes. They have had their first major break-up when they called off their engagement in 2009, wherein Megan explained she feels she's too young to be engaged at 23.
The following year, Brian has proposed again and the couple got married in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii 24 days later. Brian has stated that he has never been sure of anything in his life when he said his vows during their wedding.
The last time the two has been seen together was on June 9 while having lunch in Beverly Hills. The couple has two sons together - Noah, 2 and Bodhi, 18 months - while Brian has Kassius, 13, from a previous relationship.
There is no confirmation from the couple yet as most magazines report that their representatives remain unavailable for comments.
