Katy Perry records 'Crocodile Tears' in response to Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' [rumors]
It looks like the cat fight is definitely on as all the claws come out due to a rumor that Katy Perry is recording a new song in response to Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" hit from her album "1989."
Hollywood Life writes that the 30-year-old "I Kissed a Girl" singer is collaborating with her ex-boyfriend Diplo to compose a song about her feud with Taylor. It has once been rumored that Diplo had a running in with TayTay, which started when Diplo was dating Katy. In a very public Twitter rant back in November, Diplo said: "Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty." TayTay has not done anything about it, except her BFF Lorde sure has a lot to say in her defense when she responded: "@diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm."
Apparently, Diplo and TayTay have ended their war in February during the Grammy's but will his collaboration with Katy be the end of it again? One of Hollywood Life's sources explained that Katy believes Diplo is the best producer of her "Crocodile Tears" song, and that she has been dying to dish out Taylor's fakeness for the whole world to see.
The Mirror UK adds that although there is still no confirmation from the side of Katy as to whether she will release a new song that will take a swipe at TayTay, she has, however, hinted in a Billboard interview that fans will soon hear her side of the story. Well, it is obviously not a song entitled '1984' as Katy has recently slammed that rumor down but after all the clues and speculations, 'Crocodile Tears' might just be the song fans have been waiting for.
The Gossip Cop, however, writes that Taylor is not affected by rumors surrounding Katy's new song and collaboration with Diplo. An insider shared that TayTay has decided to not be bothered by negative stuff like this because her life is currently in a good place. She is in a happy relationship with boyfriend Calvin Harris, constantly out with good friends, and on tour for her successful "1989" album.
This feud between the two hitmakers has probably originated after Taylor's interview with Rolling Stone last year. TayTay reportedly said that the inspiration for her track "Bad Blood" originated from a frustration she had experienced with a fellow female singer, who has allegedly stolen her back-up singers during her 1989 world tour. There is no confirmation if that "fellow female singer" is indeed Katy but Taylor has not denied it as well.
