'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers: characters 'completely broken', says Steven Yeun
Actor Steven Yeun who plays Glenn in "The Walking Dead" teased fans when he released information about some plot points for the upcoming season.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Yeun shared details about what could happen in the upcoming season 6 of "The Walking Dead" that is to resume on Oct. 11.
"It's easy to use the buzzwords - to say 'roller coaster' or 'intense.' I think last year was a very good indicator of where we're headed. We're seeing everybody as who they are now. You've found them grizzled. You've found them completely broken and shattered and they've all witnessed and experienced terrible things," Yeun told the news site.
"And so you get to see them there. We wear it on our face. We wear it on our body. To see where we've evolved to is awesome. So [season] 6 is that, is showing how much has been taken away from us. The end goal is to find some semblance of life that we lost before. I think you're going to see some deeply emotional character story and you're also going to see, as we always do, some crazy-ass s-."
In the last season of "The Walking Dead," fans have seen Bob and Beth die and Noah get eaten. It was a tough season for Glenn, and if he were to die in the next season, the actor said that it could be a possibility and that he will still be thankful that he was able to be a part of the franchise. Yeun added that if his character were to go, then it is "going to be awesome," reports the International Business Times.
As for other characters that may be joining the upcoming season, "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple said that comic-book character Negan might show up.
According to the report by Yibada, there might also be a possibility that a fan-favorite character by the name of Paul Monroe or Jesus might show up as well.
In the comic book, Negan is head of the group called Saviours who offer their protection in exchange for resources for people living in Alexandria. Jesus was once a resident of Hilltop Colony and will be joining the group in eradicating Negan.
According to the Den of Geek, Gimple shared the new cast for the upcoming season. The stars that will be joining the franchise are Ethan Embry who will be playing Carter who is an Alexandrian, Merritt Wever as Dr. Denise Cloyd who is a medic and surgeon, and Corey Hawkins will be playing Heath, an Alexandrian who is also a supply runner.
