'Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F' DVD, Blu-Ray 2015 release date: English version out soon!
"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" will be coming out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. FUNimatin Entertainment recently announced that the digital HD version of the DBZ film will be released on Oct. 9, while the DVD and Blu-ray copies will hit stores on Oct. 20, reports Christian Today.
There will be a special collector's edition for the movie's DVD and Blu-ray copies, which will include a package containing a set of four holographic propaganda postcards of Frieza Force, claims Blu-ray.com
Special features will be included for both the standard set and Collector's Edition of the movie, including: The Voices of Dragon Ball Z, The Return of Dragon Ball Z, text-less Closing Song, the US trailer as well as the other trailers of the movie.
The Voices of Dragon Ball Z will focus on the in-the-booth making of the footage for the film, meaning the voice overs and art most likely. While, the Return of Dragon Ball Z feature have cast interviews and red carpet footage of the film's premiere.
The collector's edition will cost $59.98, while the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will be priced $34.98, and the standard DVD set will sell for $29.98. Fans who pre-order the movie will get a discount.
After pre-ordering, the collector's edition will cost only $44.99, while the Blu-ray/DVD's price tag will go down to $29.98, and the standard DVD set's price will be $22.49. For one more collector item, fans can add $10 to get a special Shenron shirt.
According to Franchise Herald, the movie is English-dubbed and features the return of the original cast members of Dragon Ball Z. "Resurrection F" was written by the original creator of Dragon Ball Z, Akira Toriyama. It is one of two DBZ films written by Toriyama.
Blu-ray.com adds that "Resurrection F" is the 19th feature film in the DBZ Franchise. The site writes a synopsis of the film:
"...After years in spiritual purgatory, Frieza has been resurrected and plans to take his revenge on the Z Fighters of Earth. Facing off against Frieza's powerful new form and his army of 1,000 soldiers, Goku and Vegeta must reach new levels of strength in order to protect Earth from their vengeful nemesis."
According to IB Times, the film is set to premiere in theaters in the UK and Ireland on Sept. 30, right before the DVD and Blu-ray copies are released. So far, the English-version of "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" has made $61.1 million in the box office, while the initial Japanese version only made about $5 million, reports Christian Today.
