"Prince of Stride," the otome game for the PS Vita, will be made into a TV Anime series on January 2016 by Madhouse. According to Anime News Network, the anime adaptation of the game will be titled, "Prince of Stride: Alternative."

Shiju Sogabi worked on the original design works of the game, while Kanako NoNo designed each character and Tomoyuki Uhikoga was responsible for the game's graphic design.

Madhouse chose Atsuio Ishizuka, from "No Game" and "No Life," to direct the anime adaptation of "Prince of Stride." In addition, Madhouse assigned Taku Kishimoto to work on the anime's composition and Kokunen Ou to adapt the characters made by NoNo for animation, reports Anime News Network.

The cast from the game will be portraying their characters in the anime version of "Prince of Stride." The returning cast includes: Ryohei Kimura as Riku Yagami, Nobuhiko Okamoto as takeru Fujiwara, Kana Hanazawa as Nana Sakurai, Kensho Ono as Hozumi Kohinata, Diasuke Ono as Heath Hasekura, and Hiro Shimono as Ayumu Kadowaki.

Also to return for the production of the anime series are the following: Junichi Suwabe as Kyosuke Kuga, Ryotaro Okaiyu as Yujiro Dan, Mamoru Miyano as Reiji Suwa, Daisuke Hirakawa as Shizuma Mayuzumi, Takuya Eguchi as Bantaro Chiyomatsu, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Tasuku Senoo, Yuuki Ono as Asuma Mayuzumi, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Kaede Okumura.

The otome game, which is also recognized as a visual novel, was released by Kadokawa Games for the PS Vita on July 30, 2015, reports Crunchyroll. In "Prince of Stride," gamers will play Sakurai Nana, the main female character in the series.

After watching a video of a Stride match, Nana shows interest in the sport and enrolls in Hounan Senior High Academy, which used to have a Stride club. After enrolling, Nana discovers that the Stride club was dissolved and she attempts to restart it.

Jyuuguchi blog explains that Stride is a fictitious sport created by the developers of the game. The sport requires six players to participate in a relay race across town. Different schools compete in the sport and have to face different obstacles to win the match.

Girls do not usually participate in Stride races and having a female relationer—the leader of the team—is even rarer. Despite the various obstacles in her way, however, Nana forms a team. With her Stride team fully formed, Nana attempts to win the "End of Summer" Stride race, which is one of the most prestigious races in Japan, states My Anime List.

The YouTube channel, Media Factory, has already released a promotional video for the "Prince of Stride: Alternative," which can be seen below.
