With Apple's September 9th event only a day away, fans can't seem to contain their excitement as the rumor mill continues to buzz with speculations and take away tidbits. Here are the top five rumored specs and features that fans are dying to see.

1) iPhone 6s / iPhone 7 will be the thinnest yet, unveiling at 6mm thin.

According to The Daily Mail UK, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo may be at par with the iPod touch and thinner than the current iPhone 6. Critics are saying this will make the iPhone more vulnerable and easily broken, just like what happens to an iPhone 6 Plus that is kept inside a pocket, prompting several "bendgate" complaints from users.

2) iPhone 6s / iPhone 7 will be using the 7000 series aluminium alloy use in making its Apple Watch.

The "bendgate" problem will apparently be solved by turning the iPhone 6s / iPhone 7 into something that is 60 percent harder than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, The Daily Mail UK adds. If these speculations and predictions are true, fans will be looking at the thinnest phone ever made by Apple.

3) Force Touch or "3D Touch Display" technology will be placed on the screen of the latest iPhone, making it infallible and extremely useful at a touch of the screen.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, there will be three dimensions of pressure, unlike the two levels used on the MacBook and Apple Watch. This will open a whole new world of possibilities for user-interface tricks like shortcuts and easy navigation. It will make use of the "tap, press and hard press" levels which could possibly lead to the following:

  • When using the Music app, Force Touch can be the substitute for clicking the buttons on the right panel of track listing, showing the menu for playing in the offline mode or adding in a playlist
  • Force Touch can show shortcuts for a certain app, like adding in the Favorites or being taken directly to the Voicemail tab
  • Force Touch on the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 can provide gestures available in the MacBook, like deep pressing on a link to see a preview of the webpage

4) Features like a new "rose gold" variant will be made available, 12-MP rear camera shooter capable of filming ultra-high resolution 4K-quality video, and a front camera with the capacity to record 1080p video through the use of its 5MP resolution.

9 to 5 Mac adds that although the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 will retain the design of the iPhone 6, the new Rose Gold color will add more option to the already available Space Gray, White/Silver, and Gold variant. Furthermore, the upgrade of the megapixel resolutions of the front and rear end cameras will definitely interest those who love to take selfies and photos. Of course, an iCloud storage upgrade will be in order to take that 4K clip out of the device storage.

5) Data services can now be enjoyed through a faster LTE.

International Business Times writes that the latest iPhone will be featuring the Cat 6 LTE modem, increasing the download speed to 300 Mbps and the same LTE chip will help extend the battery life of the latest and future iPhones as well.
