Are you ready for another Purge?

"Purge 3" is in the works and new cast members have been included in the franchise. As cited by Dread Central, the new blood includes: Betty Gabriel, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Secor, JJ Soria, Mykelti Williamson and Elizabeth Mitchell.

Fangoria elaborates credentials owned by the new cast. Gabriel is from "Beyond Skyline"; Kyle Secor is from "Sleeping With The Enemy," and JJ Soria is from the popular TV series, "Dexter."

Meanwhile, Williamson came from another popular horror flick, "The Final Destination" and Mitchell is from the unforgettable TV series, "Lost."

Both Universal and Blumhouse, working together on "Purge 3," have kept mum about the new cast's roles. However, the list of newcomers have had their own experiences with the horrific, murderous and violent side of the movie and TV world, so it will be interesting to see what they bring to the already-popular franchise.

Williamson, in particular, was seen in the 1997 film, "Con Air," which has a somewhat similar story line to "The Purge." According to Cinema Blend, Williamson plays a prisoner, who is "pittied against rebellious inmates on an airborne penitentiary."

Along with the new cast, veterans from the "Purge" franchise will come back. Frank Grillo will be returning, reports Paste Magazine. Grillo will be reprising his character, Sergeant, from "The Purge: Anarchy."

Also to return is Edwin Hodge, who was part of the first two "Purge' films, states Fangoria.

Hopefully, in the third "Purge" film, Hodge's character will at least get an official name and be a well-rounded character. After all, his character has been in all the films so far, so it would probably be interesting to see his character develop more. Specially that he is seen fighting alongside the resistance and against the wealthy in the last film.

While there has been no news about the plot of the "Purge 3," Cinema Blend speculates that it might focus on the characters fighting against the government. There may be enough evidence supporting the idea.

The events of "The Purge: Anarchy," shows a society at unrest due to the annual Purge, which pits the wealthy against the poor. People are tired of being prey for the rich and some have even started to speak out and fight back, as seen in Hodge's character.

The third installment could follow the format of the second film, but fans would probably like to see the story progress. It would also be nice to put a face to the government, who started The Purge in the first place.

"Purge 3" will be hitting theaters on July 1, 2016.
