'Deadpool' movie spoiler & news update: Ryan Reynolds reveals what he stole from the set

Marvel fans are already excited for the plethora of movies coming in the following years, beginning with "Deadpool," which features a familiar face as the superhero. Ryan Reynolds, who first donned a superhero costume in 2011 as DC's Green Lantern, traded in his costume for Marvel's Deadpool, a role he briefly played in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The Wrap reported that Reynolds himself announced his return as the superhero.

Now that the film has finished principal photography and is set for a February 2016 release, Reynolds said he took a token of the Deadpool experience home. Cinemablend reports that the actor loved his black and red costume so much that he took it home with him.

"I loved wearing it and I have run away with one," Reynolds admitted. "I'll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I've waited 10 years to do this movie so I'm leaving with a f---ing suit."

Reynolds isn't the first to fall in love with superhero costumes, as Captain America's Chris Evans and Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt both borrowed their uniforms to visit children's hospitals as their characters earlier this year, CNN reports.

Meanwhile, it seems that Marvel is busy making more superhero films as the X-Men franchise comes to a close. According to Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg, he's confident that there will be a sequel to the film that's to be released in February.

MTV reports that while Kinberg was at the Toronto International Film Festival, he said, "We were talking about the sequel while we were making the movie, just because when you make a film like this that’s from a serialized source material, you hope that it’s the first of many, and we still hope that."

Kinberg explained, "We still have work to do on the movie because it obviously doesn’t come out for many months, But yeah, they’re feeling good about it, we’re all feeling really proud of it. So hopefully before it comes out, we will be well into the process of figuring out a sequel."

Additionally, Nerd Reactor reports that according to Kinberg, the worlds of Deadpool and X-Men are not very far apart, and that the idea of having these characters interact may be a possibility.

The producer said, "The idea is that we’ve sort of reset the timeline after ’Days of Future Past’ in some ways, and if not erased, certainly allowed for change from ’X1,’ ’2,’ ’3,’ everything from ’Days of Future Past’ forward, 1973, everything we set now becomes canon. So the ’Gambit’ movie, the ’Deadpool’ movie, will exist in a world that acknowledges whatever happened in ’Days of Future Past’ and moving forward."

Kinberg added, "There will be interplay between different characters in different movies."

Deadpool hits theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
