She landed an acting gig in FOX, in a series called "Terra Nova" a time-traveling series which was also cancelled after one season. Scott also guest starred in the BBC series "By Any Means" and then got a role in the 2015 film "The Martian" which stars Matt Damon and another film called "The 33" a movie based on the miners who were trapped in Chile's San Jose Mine for two months.

In addition to acting, Scott is also a talented musician which was kick started after her stint in the Disney musical "Lemonade Mouth."
