'Elder Scrolls 6' release date & news update: 'Skyrim 2' may come out earlier as Bethesda evaluates 'Battlecry'

Is it possible that “Elder Scrolls 6” will be released anytime soon? If so, this will be a step back from the rumored delay in a release that has been haunting the game for months due to the certain release of “Fallout 4”, as reported by Master Herald. But, it seems that Bethesda’s vice president Peter Hines is sure that Skyrim 2 will be out sooner than anyone thought possible due to a change in publisher.
With Bethesda having concerns with Battlecry, the company is looking into the issues and evaluating it, PC Gamer reports.
In an official statement, Bethesda said, “We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it. We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards. The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.”
Typically, the studio only works on one game at a time but based on what they said, the promise of multiple projects can certainly make fans excited, a sure sign that Bethesda is trying to renovate the way it handles their games.
Speaking of change, as Bethesda seems to start showing initiative in expanding, fans and experts are also speculating that bigger things are coming the fans’ way.
While “Elder Scrolls” and “Fallout” are definitely two of the best games Bethesda has ever developed, the gameplay only focused on being straight to the point without any irrelevant elements added just to gain popularity. Multiplayer mode is something that the studio has never done before in any of their games but could it be a possibility now?
Gaming Bolt reports that as it may be too late for “Fallout 4” to add the elusive multiplayer mode, it may become a possibility for “Elder Scrolls 6”. While fans and gamers may think that Bethesda is unable to make it work, there are some signs that say otherwise such as:
- a possible co-op gameplay that features high level quests which may function similar to a raid and dealing with big boss level monsters
- a similar formula as what Monster Hunter did in its gameplay
- access to high-level gear after completion of quests, a harder feat to achieve if done in single player mode only
Either way, things may be looking up for “Elder Scrolls 6” and while there is no exact release date yet, it seems that fans will not have to wait any longer for it be unveiled, probably right after the debut of “Fallout 4” this November on PS4, Xbox One?
