There have been rumors that the Xbox One exclusive "Halo 5: Guardians" might be coming to PC.

According to a report by Game Planet, Halo director Frank O'Conor stated on a GamesRadar stream on Twitch that the game might have a PC version. However, the possible release was only in theory and stated for marketing purposes.

"You know, Microsoft has made a huge commitment trying sort of... I think normalize the Windows experience across multiple platforms. You see the elements of Windows 10 are going to appear in Xbox and Cortana and stuff like that," O'Connor said, as reported by Mega Games. "There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point... you know, we developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing I announce today on this chat."

However, O'Connor made it clear that his statement was made out of context in a newer interview.

On Twitter, O'Connor answered a tweet from a game fan.

"I didn't 'mention' it," he said on Twitter in reply to a fan. "I was asked a question and gave the same noncommittal answer I've been giving to that question for ten years."

According to Game Spot, another rumor about the PC version of "Halo 5: Guardians" coming out on Oct. 27 was refuted by Microsoft's marketing executive Aaron Greenberg.

"This is not true. Game is being made exclusively for Xbox One," Greenberg said on Twitter.

However, the possibility of the game coming to PC has not been absolutely dismissed as there are "currently no plans", International Business Times reports.

The outlet adds that there will be a live launch titled "Halo 5: Live" on Oct. 26 at Xbox Wire. Game maker 343 Industries intention was to tease North American fans prior to its exclusive official launching on Oct. 27.  The six-hour live stream will be shown on Youtube  at Oct. 26, 6pm EDT. The segment will include the Writers' Roundtable where the game developers will be discussing a lot of things about the game including recording procedures, music composition by Tom Salta, writing directions and the game's designs. Spartan Buck's voice actor, Nathan Fillion will also be joining in on the fun. Additionally, the special behind-the -scenes on "Halo: The Fall of Reach will also be unveiled during the live event.
