Apple iOS 9.2 release: 5 things you should know

Apple has released the first beta of iOS 9.2 this week which followed the official launch of iOS 9.1 last week.

If you want to err in the side of caution and choose to follow the updates of how the iOS 9.2 is going, below is a list of five things you should know about the new version:

1.) Beta testing is open to developers

There are a bit of upgrades and changes brought by the iOS 9.2 that recurs in the iOS 9.1. If you want to try out the new beta, Gotta Be Mobile reports that you can participate in its beta testing. Additionally, with the release of the iOS 9.1 comes 150 more emojis including taco and the middle finger so you can fully express your woes through digital media.

3.) Accepts 3rd part Action Extensions

The iOS 9.2 beta 1 release brought in new "Action Extensions" that makes it more convenient for Apple users. The 1Password is an app that can auto-fill passwords. The iOS 9.2 cuts down on the hassle by letting the users have the option to use the app while using a browser that uses it. In this case, the Safari. Users used to launch the 1Password app before opening up the browser, according to Techno Buffalo.

4.) Long tap reloads content within Safari browsers

While the option to reload content without blockers has long been an option in Safari apps, iOS 9.2 allegedly allows this in browsers within apps, according to Mac Rumors. Long tapping the Reload button in the Safari View Controller will trigger this option.

5.) iOS 9.2 will be available to all iOS 9 powered devices

According to Gotta Be Mobile, the company has confirmed that iOS 9.2 will be coming to all devices that run on iOS 9 includng iPad 2, iPad mini and the iPhone 4s.
