'X-Men: Apocalypse' release date, plot, cast news & update: Evan Peters reveals Quicksilver's role in movie

Evan Peters who portrays X-Men's Quicksilver has come forward and shared a bit what his character's role will be in the movie.
In an interview to Details, Peters reveals that the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie will be the "biggest" film with a "huge scope" about the apocalypse. However, it is not about a zombie apocalypse, the actor cleared.
"Although that would be amazing if Apocalypse [the evil mutant] brought back the dead to help him take over the earth. I love zombies; I can't get enough," Peters said.
He gets down to the details and shares what Quicksilver's role will be in the whole movie and how he will be part of the whole apocalypse.
"But the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness," Evans shared. "He tries to stop him from destroying the world."
For those who did not know, Quicksilver's father is Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and although the actor did not directly say it, it is common knowledge among comicbook readers, Coming Soon reports.
From the official synopsis of the movie, it is revealed that the powerful god Apocalpyse" will awaken and recruit some of the strongest mutants including Magneto to create a new world. The young team of X-Men including Professor X (James McAvoy) together with other mutants must stop the enemy to save mankind.
The official synopsis, as reported by Collider, is as follows:
"Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
"Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction."
"X-Men Apocalypse" is said to be the final movie of the trilogy started by "X-Men: First Class" and followed by "X-Men: Days of Future Past." It will be released in theaters on May 27, 2016.
