J.J. Abrams revealed to Stephen Colbert during a fundraiser that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie is officially complete.

Abrams and Colbert had a little chat with the audience in a segment called "Celebrity Nerd Off" for the fundraising event for the benefit of Montclair Film Festival. It was then that Abrams revealed that the "Star Wars" production team has completed the "mix of the movie" at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The film is essentiallty completed, however, Abrams noted: "I left with six very small, but important things that (still) need to be done."

In the detailed report by Yahoo, it was revealed that the seventh movie will be devoid of the director's signature lens flare.

The BB-8, the little ball seen in the trailer of the movie was made with respect to late artist Ralph McQuarrie who is credited for dreaming up of the designs for other robots including C3-PO and R2-D2.

With regards to making the BB-8, Abrams took a mental note to "keep it simple" as McQuarrie would.

"I had an idea [that one droid] would look like a snowman, and drew this little circular shape," Abrams said.

Abrams revealed that "The Force" will have a big role in the latest "Star Wars" film.

"It's a non-denominational, powerful idea that was really important to us in this film to bring back and allow it to be a little bit of magic...and have that hope be something that's at the center of the story," the director answered when asked what the force meant to him.

Abrams also revealed that he is glad the movie is finally getting released after three years of hardwork.

"Working on this movie for the past nearly three years - it's been like living with the greatest roommate in history for too long," Abrams said, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. "It's time for him to get his own place. It's been the greatest, and I can't tell you how much I want him to get out into the world and meet other people because we know each other really well."

The seventh "Star Wars" movie stars Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Adam Diver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Johyn Boyega as Finn, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C3PO, Kenny Baker as R2-D2 and more. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" takes 30 years after the downfall of the Galactic Empire where Han Solo and his group will face Kylo Ren and his band of Stormtroopers.

"The Force Awakens" is scheduled in theaters on Dec. 18.
