Thanks to the success of "Jessica Jones," people are now becoming interested in the upcoming new series of Netflix entitled "Luke Cage." Both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are destined for each other as Marvel wrote in comics that the two are destined to get married.
Even when the series is not yet airing, people are already talking about it. The excitement for the forthcoming new series is undeniably all-high. In fact, many people are already intrigued of what will its story be, what kind of characters it will introduce and when its release will be.
The Plot
According to the Den of Geeks, Marvel revealed that the setting of "Luke Cage" will be in Harlem, New York City. It has also been revealed that the protagonist of the series will have super strength and unbreakable strength after a sabotaged experiment.
As Luke is trying to start his life anew, he will be forced to fight a battle that will remind him of the past he tried to escape from.
Aside from this, no more information has been revealed about how the story will flow.
The Characters
The Movie News Guide listed a lot of characters that will be introduced in the series. They also explained what will be the role of these characters.
Mike Colter will lead the series as Luke Cage. Of course, he is the protagonist of the show.
It has been said that Misty Knight will also appear in the TV series. Misty Knight will be played by Simone Missick. The character is the biggest ally of Luke Cage.
Claire Temple, commonly known as Night Nurse, will be played by Rosario Dawson. Her character will be responsible in connecting the stories of "Jessica Jones" and "Luke Cage."
Theo Rossi will be portraying "Shades" Alvarez. His character will be the rival of the protagonist.
The Premiere
There won't be "Luke Cage" until 2016. The IMDb states that the debut of the much awaited Marvel superhero series in Netflix will air on April 2016. They are not specific as to what date, but fans are thankful enough to know the month of its premiere rather than just guessing as to when in 2016 it can be watched.
