Apple iPhone 7 Release Date, Leaks, News & Rumors: 3D Touch Confirmed But Not As Great As Fans Expected?

Apple's iPhone 7 will reportedly feature the 3D Touch which will be similar to the iPhone 6S.
A research note from Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst, sent to Mac Rumors claims that the next iPhone which will probably be called the iPhone 7 will have a 3D touch screen that has a "similar technology and structure" as the iPhone 6S. Additionally, the next iPhone might be released around September next year, the same time when the 6S was launched.
There have been various issues surrounding the 3D Touch that left fans and user feeling unsatisfied. One instance is that there are only a few apps that are compatible with the feature, according to Tech Insider. It is also not known if an app is 3D Touch compatible which leads users to not try it at all.
Basically, the 3D Touch allows users more controls for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. According to Apple, it recognizes different types of taps and presses.
"iPhone senses how much pressure you apply to the display. In addition to familiar multitouch gestures like Tap, Swipe, and Pinch, 3D Touch introduces Peek and Pop," the company said in their website. "This brings a new dimension of functionality to the iPhone experience. And when you use 3D Touch, your iPhone responds with subtle taps. So not only will you see what a press can do - you'll feel it."
According to a review by BGR, the gestures on the 3D Touch such as the "Peek" and "Pop" are easily forgotten or it exists at all.
"I'm teaching my brain to Peek and Pop in the apps where it's available—like Mail, Safari, iMessage and others - yet I don't always remember I can preview items with Peek and go ahead and access clickable items and links the usual way," a staff of the website, Zach Epstein said.
Kuo adds that the iPad Air 3 will not be having the 3D Touch feature because of "production issues within Apple's supply chain." The iPad Air 3 might be unveiled during a rumored March 2016 event which goes with the news that Apple will be introducing a new 4-inch iPhone and the Apple Watch 2.
In other news, Microsoft's Outlook app for iOS can now support 3D Touch. Outlook is an app that helps manage the email inbox. To use the feature, iPhone 6s and 6S Plus users can press the home screen icon for options that will help them make a new email or list an event for a calendar. The actions are only limited to the home screen only, reports Engadget.
