Game maker Rockstar Games announced that "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" is now available to play on iPhone and iPad today.

Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" first emerged as a 2005 console game for Sony's PlayStation Portable. The now iOS-playable game will feature game and graphics improvement.

Forbes reports that the game has "real-time lighting and shadows, upgraded textures and art, greater draw distance, performance enhancements for touch-based gaming including updated analog steering and rebalanced targeting" to make it better for the touch-based devices.

"Liberty Stories" is a prequel to "Grand Theft Auto III" and it is an open-world action adventure game featuring Toni Cipriani coming home to Liberty City. The mobile game will feature improved visuals, cloud saves, gamepad support and touch controls. The revamped game will allow players to ride motorcycles, and purchase and change clothes as well. According to The Verge, you can play the game on mobile while listening to a custom playlist.

The app costs $6.99 and will soon be coming to Android and Windows Phone.

In other news, Rockstar has also announced the expansion for GTA Online that will allow players to live it up in the game with luxury yachts, bodyguards, limos, and guns.

The DLC is called "Executives and Other Criminals" and is considered to be the one of the biggest updates for the game ever. A particularly new feature that new players and veterans alike can enjoy is that it can let you run your own criminal ring if you have amassed more than at least $1 million which in turns make you a "VIP". You can create your own mafia and hire other players as bodyguards and have them earn cash under your job network.

"VIP's who run their own operation gain access to new co-op Jobs, challenges and special abilities in Freemode, as well as having the power to hire and fire other players for their team of bodyguards," the announcement said. Meanwhile, Bodyguards earn a regular paycheck and their own special benefits including RP, GTA$, and stat boosts for working for a VIP's organization," the company posted on the developer's official website, Rockstar Newswire.

According to Game Ranx, there are new game types for VIPs who will play within Freemode. It includes Asset Recovery, Hostile Takeover, Executive Death Match, and Piracy Prevention.

The "Executive and Other Criminals" DLC is free for download for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will not be available for Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
