The trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" was revealed by Square Enix during this year's Jump Festa event held in Japan.
Fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that "Kingdom Hearts 3" might be released soon. The trailer for the game was recently shown during this year's Jump Festa event.
In the trailer, Square Enix showed the first scene of the game where Sora, together with Goofy and Donald Duck, are fighting against creatures from Disney's "Tangled."
Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura answered they had a reason why they divulged the opening of "KH3" in the way that they did. One of the reasons he says is creating new worlds for the new game. However, he notes that the opening scene in the trailer is not the final one and there may be new changes.
"There are many reasons for this, but one of them is that we are prioritizing the creation of new worlds in KH3, and we would have to consider the reveal timing of those worlds, making sure that we discuss with Disney," Nomura said, in a Q&A session posted on the Square Enix's blog. "That opening scene is very versatile since it doesn't involve those new worlds, plus it's a great asset to use as a prologue to build up excitement towards KH3.
"Also, the scenes that we have currently released is not the final product so please look forward to any changes that we may make in the future as well."
Among the questions he received, Nomura was asked about the return of Nobodies in "Kingdom Hearts 3" and what role they will play in the game along with Heartless. He was also asked if there were any other enemies aside from them as well.
"I want to make it so that you can tell who had come to that world by the enemies that appear there. I am thinking of the enemy types as a part of the total production this time," he said.
According to Latin Times, there have been rumors that some of the newer worlds in the game may include the one from "Toy Story" as Sora, Goofy and Donald were seen flying in Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster rider.
Additionally, Square Enix also showed the footage of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" at the event. According to Techno Buffalo, the game will be part of a PlayStation 4 package which includes "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance" and of "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage and Kingdom Hearts x [chi] Back Cover" which will both be in HD.
