The second trailer for the new "Deadpool" movie which was unveiled on Christmas day shocked people, but it also revealed a likeliness of Wolverine having a cameo in the movie.
Fans of the Merc with a Mouth were recently treated to "12 Days of Deadpool" with the last "reveal" ending on Christmas Day where 20th Century Fox dropped the second trailer for the movie.
The studio created two versions, the SFW and Red Band version. The former is safe to watch with children around and the latter one is more NSFW and R-Rated which the movie will be. Watch the two trailers below:
In the trailer, we see Wade Wilson (played by Ryan Reynolds) become Deadpool. His fatal condition led him to agree to become experimented on for a chance to extend his survival. The trailer also includes Colossus from X-Men (voiced by Stefan Kapicic) and Ellie Phimister or Negasonic Teenage Warhead (played by Brianna Hildebrand).
With Colossus in the mix, it isn't so hard to imagine that other X-Men characters may have a cameo. Rumors of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine being seen in the movie was stoked when the actor posted a photo on Twitter the day before the second trailer came out. In the photo is a picture of Wolverine with his middle claw raised and mini Deadpool wearing Santa Claus hat leaning on the said appendage.

According to Ecumenical News, the rumors have not been confirmed and there is no word from the studio, Reynolds or Jackman. However, fans are still hopeful for the cameo.
Interestingly, the trailer where we see Wilson being submerged into a bathtub is eerily similar to Wolverine's in the previous X-Men origin movies. Comic Book confirms that they used similar visuals to mimic it. According to Movie Pilot, the creators of "Deadpool" promised to parody a little bit of the scenes in "X-Men Origins" and the bathtub scene might be one of them.
Additionally, the trailer also reveals a cameo of Marrow, the mutant with bone spikes in the back. She can be seen in the lab where Wilson was experimented on. Marrow is a Marvel Comics character, but she is associated with the X-Men franchise According to CB, she is on X-Force, on the same team as Deadpool.
The movie also stars Morena Baccarin as Copycat, Ed Skrein as Ajax, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, and T.J. Miller as Weasel. The movie is directed by Tim Miller. "Deadpool" will be coming to theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
