Ryan Reynolds shows off his fantastic abs in the newest teaser trailer for "Deadpool." Watch the video below:
In the 30-second spot teaser, Ryan Reynold's as Deadpool is seen lounging by a fireside clutching a rose.
"Oh, hello," Deadpool says. "You're probably thinking, 'My boyfriend said this was a superhero movie.' Well, surprise! This is actually—lucky you—a love story."
The clip shows random footages from the movie which introduced us to different characters such as shirtless Wade Wilson, Copycat (voiced by Morena Baccarin) and Colossus (played by Stefan Kapicic).
"Deadpool" is a movie based on Marvel Comic's anti-hero of the same name. Wade Wilson was once a Special Forces operative who turned into a mercenary after he was experimented on. Wilson had an incurable disease and was subjected to a series of experiments that leave him scarred but virtually indestructible with advanced healing powers. Decked in a red suit and adopted his new name "Deadpool," the famous Merc with a Mouth is on a quest to search the man who almost destroyed his life.
In other news, Reynolds live-tweeted about "The Bachelor" season 20 on Monday to shamelessly promote his new movie, Huffington Post reports. The actor added the hashtag #DeadpoolOnTheBachelor to cross-promote and ended his live-tweet session with a video on the new TV spot.
"If I were on The Bachelor, I'd step out of that limo wearing nothing but white socks and like, 312 candy necklaces. #DeadpoolOnTheBachelor" the actor tweeted.
This week, toy company Hot Toys revealed their new Deadpool Figure and according to Gizmodo, it comes with silly accessories. The figure is 12" tall and on its own, the anti-hero includes his pistols, dual katanas and detachable hands to hold his weapons.
The silly part comes in the figures extra customizable add-ons. Deadpool apparently comes with an additional pair of hands with okay signs and thumbs up to showcase the personality that fans know and love. Additionally, the add-ons have removable eye panels to give him a lot more expressions. The toys will be available later this year but preorders in the US have not yet started. The price tag of owning your very own mini-Deadpool costs around $200-$250. You can get him on Sideshow Collectibles soon.
Joining the mentioned cast are T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Ed Skrein as Ajax and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The movie is directed by Tim Miller with the script written by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The movie is rated-R and is scheduled for release on February 12, 2016, in theaters.
