The HD version of "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" will be released on the Wii U on March 4, next month. Watch the sneak peek of the game below:
The Wii U console has a GamePad functionality which allows users more control over the game. According to Geek, players can quickly access the map, transform Link anytime and go to their inventory without having to pause the game. Additionally, the GamePad can access the Miiverse where players can post their custom Mii stamps inspired by the game.
"Miiverse posts can be decorated with dozens of new Twilight Princess-related Miiverse stamps, hidden away throughout Hyrule."
Players can also play the game off-screen using the Gamepad.
The new game also features the "Hero Mode" where Zelda old timers can take their skills to the test in this very challenging mode.
"In Hero Mode Link will take double the normal damage and there are no health-replenishing hearts to be found. In a final layer of challenge the game world is also mirrored, so dungeon layouts will be reversed," the information posted on Gematsu stated.
Players can also press the Ganondorf amiibo on the Gamepad for those who dare it. Link will take 4x normal damage against enemies until the session ends.
A new item named "Ghost Lantern" is introduced to help Link in a particular quest in Poe Soul. The Ghost Lantern will glow when a Poe is nearby and the Tears of Light to be collected is now only 12 instead of 16. Link can now also get a hold of more Rupees as well.
"When Link holds the Ghost Lantern it will helpfully glow when it detects a Poe in the area. Similarly, the number of Tears of Light that need to be collected by Link at various points in his adventure has been reduced from 16 to 12, making these collection tasks easier."
Polygon adds that there will also be a brand new dungeon called The Twilight Cave. However, it will only be unlocked using the Wolf Link Amiibo that players get from the limited edition bundle. However, it can also be bought separately. According to its Amazon pre-order page, the limited edition will also come with an audio CD which features songs from the game's soundtracks.
