The season 2 of "How To Get Away With Murder" will return this week and the upcoming episode will reveal the pasts of Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis) and Wes Gibbins (played by Alfred Enoch).
Episode 10 is entitled "What Happened To You, Annalise?" and according to the International Business Times, it follows the events after Wes shoots Annalise in the abdomen.
"We left her bleeding out on the floor—and when we come back, she's really broken," said showrunner Pete Nowalk, in an interview with TV Line. "It was really important to Viola and to me to play the reality of that - of a person who's gone through a major life trauma. We're going to see a whole different side of her."
In episode 9, the last episode before the Winter hiatus, we saw a flashback scene involving a child Wes who was called Christophe then in an interrogation room with Annalise and Eve looking on. During the new episode, Wes and Annalise's relationship will be explored and the baby, who was seen in the new promo will be important for the plot.
"It's a really big part of our premiere," Nowalk said. "It's an extremely emotional idea that Viola had pitched at the beginning of the season. We've set up a lot of mysteries about how Annalise knows Wes, what their past is, why she feels so maternal toward him. All of that will be elaborated on in our back six episodes, and the baby is really important. It's a great insight into Annalise. I'm really proud of it—and I'm hoping she will, too—because it was such a collaboration."

Annalise and Laurel (played by Karla Souza) may have been very good friends as the trailer revealed that the two held each other's hand. However, complications might arise as Laurel is involved in Annalise's shooting.
Movie News Guide reports that Laurel will soon find out that Annalise has information on her father which could potentially be used for blackmail. Everyone is full of secrets but everything will be understood in the final few episodes of show's season 2.
With the name "How To Get Away With Murder," it might be impossible to end the season without any murder. Hypable posted a list of possible next victims that we won't be seeing on season 3. The list included Matt McGorry (played by Asher Millstone), Conrad Ricamora (played by Oliver Hampton) and of course, Eve (played by Famke Janssen.)
"How To Get Away With Murder" season 2 will resume on the ABC Network on Feb. 11, 10 PM ET.
