Selena Gomez Lupus Update: Singer shares health tips for coping with physical and mental stress

Who would have thought that even Selena Gomez the beautiful singer pop star could undergo chemotherapy? Behind that fame and talent, Selena was diagnosed with lupus, leaving her fame behind as she struggled to cope up with rehab treatment and other medications.

Selena Gomez undergoing chemotherapy and rehab was one of her life's difficulties. Not only she is facing stress from medication, but news also comes out that she is under drugs and facing addiction. Selena felt bad because people do not know what she is going through.

Gomez cannot explain to people that she is undergoing chemotherapy. Dealing with the emotional and mental stress, after the chemotherapy, she was advised to go to a rehab facility, which she did at "The Meadows" in Arizona, according to Food4 Better Health.

However, despite the issues that caused her mental and physical stress, she made it and recovered from her illness. Selena Gomez's former boyfriend Justin Beiber helped her recover.

The support coming from Beiber is overflowing. He took Selena to her favorite restaurants and manages to visit her in the rehab, according to Celebrity Health Gossip.

In line, Selena manages to recover. She said that it is important to be ok first than to talk about her illness publicly. She even shared tips on how to get healthy, as she uses it personally as well. She needs to maintain good health and medication to avoid lupus to come back.

To get rid of the weight that she gained during her medication Selena shared these tips:

  • Avoid Sweets, instead replace it with fruits
  • Instead of fried food, eat grilled to replace it
  • Irregular fasting
  • If hungry, drink water. Do not eat food immediately
  • Regular exercise

Meanwhile, experts advise that people should be aware of lupus disease, as it can affect anyone especially women ages 15-45. It can also affect men.
