Getting a high-specification smartphone could not be so easy like what OnePlus with its lucrative lineup did. After releasing OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, the expectation would be of OnePlus 4 as the next flagship smartphone. But instead of that, OnePlus will reveal the OnePlus 5 - a move that obviously raises questions.

OnePlus has an impressive list of clientele. Tracing back to its roots, OnePlus emerges from East Asia where the Number 4 is considered as an omen and unlucky. The word "four" in Chinese means "shi," which is also the same as "death". BBK Electronics, the parent company for OnePlus who happens to own Vivo recently, unveiled Vivo V5 directly after Vivo V3 thereby skipping the Number 4, as quoted by MNRDaily. Oppo is another brand that had observed the name game.

OnePlus 5 is fully packed with cool features and specifications. OnePlus 5 is reportedly covered in a Ceramic body after sources revealed that a company which supplies ceramic bodies to Xiaomi for Mi MIX happens to have OnePlus as its client. A smartphone with metal body acts like a bad conductor for 5G signals and hence, OnePlus 5 will have the ceramic body to cancel out any disturbance in the network.

PhoneRadar further elaborates the specifications of OnePlus 5 which had driven fans crazy. The flagship smartphone will have 6GB RAM with 5.5" QHD AMOLED display that will be compatible with VR devices. As per a tip-off, OnePlus 5 will have Snapdragon 835 processor which is currently the most powerful processor.

The release date of OnePlus 5 happens to be sometime in the second quarter of 2017 as OnePlus had just announced OnePlus 3T. Reports confirm that OnePlus 5 will have Android Nougat 7.0 pre-installed. The OnePlus 5 price is still a mystery, but with high-specs and affordable pricing as its predecessor, OnePlus 5 will soon be a major hit when it will launch.
