US suffers life expectancy decline, puzzling researchers; here's why

Life expectancy depends on several physiological and psychological factors. A study carried by a group of researchers have confirmed the slight decline in Life Expectancy in the United States leaving them puzzles about the root cause.

In 1993, HIV cases reached its peak and later subsided, the researchers found out the decline in Life Expectancy in the United States where the phenomenon has been reported for the first time since 1993. As the cause for declining Life Expectancy is not identified yet, researchers are pointing out heart diseases and other catastrophic ailments which could have potentially induced greater death rate. 

As per the data released by the National Centre for Health Statistics on Thursday, the average life expectancy for Americans has been about 78.8 Years back in 2015 which has declined by 0.1% compared to 2014. The increase in death rate has triggered researchers to find out the cause. 

Following a detail report published in The New York Times, Dr. Peter Muening, a professor at the Columbia University stated that 0.1% decline is huge. The cause of death was taken into consideration and researchers found striking facts. Out of the 10 major reasons for death, eight of them have increased, such as diabetes and heart disease. The infant mortality rate has increased slightly but not much which can be considered.

The research also stated the decline in death by cancer about 1.7% - serving as a bit of good news. The research also found that the varying life expectancy rate for people in a different income group.  A difference of 14 years was reported between rich and poor income groups as per findings by the Brookings Institution. 

Lifespan also differs in terms of race and ethnicity. As per reports, a dip in life expectancy of White males was reported over the course of latest years on grounds of drug abuse, financial distress, and the like. The death rate has jumped up by 9% for non-Hispanic black males. by 6% for non-Hispanic white girls and by 1% for non-Hispanic white males. 

Dizzbee stated that the life expectancy for females has improved compared to males. As per the statistics, the difference between the life expectancy of males and females have increased as much as 4% in 2015.
