Apple has already unveiled the new MacBook Pro lineup scraping the old generations. Apple is currently into making products for 2017 release. The most anticipated product is the Apple iPhone 8 which might be spotted in September 2017. Amidst latest iteration, there are some designs and features that have shelved off. Know Why.
A few weeks ago, Apple abolished its MacBook Pro lineup and replaced it with latest and powerful MacBook Pro 2. As per a report published by Bloomberg, Apple is concentrating with priority to iPad and iPhone, however, the Macs will receive their part of upgrades but the delay is imminent. The Mac update is being hindered due to several issues where Intel incapability in producing a powerful chip for the new Macs in order to defeat its rival as well the inability to produce Macs for America contributed to the postponed of Macs supply.
Amidst all odds, Apple is working on various prototypes, designs, and features of which some might not see the light of day. As per BGR, the latest MacBook Pro would carry a higher battery life, however, the battery failed a test and that led to Apple's decision to fall back to its usual square cell batteries which recently receives complaints of low battery life.
Features that might not make it to the future iterations are a Gold colored MacBook Pro which Apple abolished as it was not looking good. Apple was working on two prototypes for 12" MacBook that launched in 2015. Earlier, it was supposed to have a Lightning Connector, however, Apple decided to stick with USB-C port. Similarly, in its 2016 iteration update, the 12" MacBook got a faster chip upgrade and pink color option whereas it originally featured a second USB-C port and a Touch ID Fingerprint scanner. These were the features that failed to appear in 2016. Watch out for Apple iPhone 8 that is bound to impress masses.
In 2017, Apple has plans to refresh its iMac and MacBook lineup with AMD Graphics and USB-C Ports. The Engineers at Apple are also working on iMac Keyboard that will have a Touch Bar screen along with a fingerprint reader, however, Apple has not produced any official commitment.
