"Madam Secretary", started airing on CBS from 2014 onwards, was the life Elizabeth McCord, a brilliant CIA analyst-turned-college professor. She checks into Washington D.C., upon request by none other than the president, who accidentally happens to be her friend.
The plot revolves around how she was insulted by the White House staff and how she stays aloft with her high moral values and comes up under all odds to become the best advisor to the President, as per TV Guide.

The horse was sent to Elizabeth but she thinks twice and further evaluates the pros and cons for accepting it. She thinks accepting it could hurt other Asian Countries. But, by doing so, she has stirred more controversy than she imagined.
Elizabeth unsure about to accept the gift, fumbles on the moral high ground she took. Meanwhile, Governor Sam Evans threatens to sue Ohio for putting President Dalton on the election ballot.
The plot thickens with Elizabeth in the tight spot as never before putting her diplomatic skills to test.
