Looks like Xbox is trying to gravitate the hype and make its brand the center of video game talks as it releases a new set of Xbox One backward compatible video game titles. It appears that Xbox is trying to remove the hype from the Nintendo Switch release and feed video game fans with more Xbox related updates as it prepares for the highly anticipated launch of the new Xbox Scorpio game console.

The Xbox backward compatibility project was initiated on November of 2015. This feature has allowed Xbox video game fans to play the Xbox 360 supported titles in the new Xbox One game console. From its 2015 release, the Xbox one backward compatibility feature has introduced hundreds of what was the exclusive Xbox 360 titles to Xbox one.

During its November 12 launch, Microsoft has already announced 104 games that will be included in the Xbox backward compatibility project and this number has doubled since the November launch. Though the current list of the already backward compatible Xbox 360 titles is impressive as it stands, Microsoft is said to add more popular and highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusives on the list. Gamespot has provided a list of all the Xbox backward compatible games.

This month alone, Xbox has already released ten additional video games to be included in the Xbox One backward compatible video games' list. On January 10, Xbox announced "Battlefield: Bad Company ", "Battlefield 3", "Dragon Age: Origins", "Ghostbusters", "Scrap Metal", "The Splatter" and "Strania" to be included in the growing list of Xbox One backward compatible games.

During the January 12 Nintendo Switch Tokyo livestream event, Xbox has also released several video games in a move that seemingly attempts to steal some hype from the Nintendo event. "Mega Man 9", "Mega Man 10" and "Beat'n Groovy" were all added in the Xbox One compatible titles on January 12. Stay tuned for more updates!
