No further questions are needed upon hailing China’s tech giant DJI as the best producer for drones. With last year’s release of their frontrunner drones, Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro, photo and video enthusiasts are indeed finding a hard time picking which would suit them the best.
News Shooter stated that 2016 was indeed DJI’s year since their release of the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro and it's Inspire 2. Amid both Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro drones 4K resolution capacity to capture videos and photos, consumers still struggle on what to get. Nonetheless, their price obviously settles them out both. The Mavic Pro sells at $999 while the Phantom 4 Pro is at $1499 on Amazon, Apple, B&H, Best Buy and more.
Moreover, the Mavic Pro’s image capacity is given by its 12 MP camera that captures at 30 fps. Meanwhile, the P4 Pro goes at a raging 1-inch 20 MP sensor camera that can shoot at 60 fps. Yet the Mavic Pro’s foldable body gives it the upper hand in portability cases.
It was cleared by the actual test done by News shooter that the 60Mbps recording from the Mavic Pro and the 100Mbps on the Phantom 4 Pro actually proved that the P4 pro tops the Mavic pro in the image quality category. More so, is that they also claimed that the footage quality capacity had shown that the P4 Pro clearly didn’t struggle to get highlights on the images rather than the Mavic Pro which is known for that issue.
Unfortunately, sUAS News reported that the tech giant recently submitted a letter to its dealers. DJI stated in the letter that consumers should expect a halt on their Mavic Pro production. Luckily, the halt would only take place because of the Lunar New Year and stocks are expected again after the end of this month. More so, DJI also noted that stocks would only be limited. More or less, they are hoping to produce sufficient stock by March this year.
On top of the production cease of the Mavic Pro, the notable DJI drone, Phantom 4 Pro was also stated to be terminated from the production, after DJI’s termination of its Phantom 3 series leaving just the Standard, some people see it as no surprise. Ps4 Pro termination was given to be the shortest exposed drone by the company being released last March 2016 which already bid goodbye this year. Even so, DJI mentioned that there are still stocks left for the P4 Pro.
