Cassandra Barns, a nutritionist, has exposed some foods that are guaranteed to promote proper digestion and a flat stomach.


1. Kimchi. Cassandra shared on DailyMail how "Sauerkraut" or the traditional fermented food helps with having a flat stomach and good digestion. It is usually made with shredded cabbage with additional spices like ginger and red chili flakes and these ingredients, especially when raw, have the beneficial bacteria which are basically a natural probiotic.

2. Garlic. It's no secret that garlic is powerful enough as it contains potent antifungal and anti-bacterial properties. The best thing is, it's not only good in checking any "bad bacteria" in the gut which promotes bad digestion but also, it helps stop cases of candida overgrowth.

3. Artichoke. To maintain the flat stomach that most are wishing for, eating artichokes is essential as is the best source of inulin, a soluble fiber that has a prebiotic effect. This is necessary as it feeds the good bacteria present in human gout.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is considered as a "wonder" by many as it has powerful effects when taken and/or applied. Taking a tablespoon together with a small amount of water prior to having a meal balances the acid level in stomach.
