'The LEGO Batman Movie' Updates: Animated Film Expected To Top 'Fifty Shades Darker' At Box Office

"The LEGO Batman Movie" is expected to triumph over two contending movie releases. These two films that are also to hit the big screen this month are the adaptation of "Fifty Shades Darker" and "John Wick: Chapter 2."

The Caped Crusader comes in a toy block form since it is, after all, "The LEGO Batman Movie." The movie will arrive this Valentine's Day weekend.

Therefore, the debut of "The LEGO Batman Movie" comes a few days before Valentine's Day, which drops on a Tuesday. This is also to give moviegoers more options in choosing a box office film where they can sit and celebrate their holiday.

According to Deadline, "The LEGO Batman Movie" is likely to dash at number one with more than $50 million ticket sales. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" follow-up was predicted to attain $30 to $42 million while "John Wick: Chapter 2" at $20 million.

If the prediction turns out true, this year's Valentine's Day movie lineup appears to be dull, unlike the 2016 Valentine's Day release "Deadpool." The action flick that starred Ryan Reynolds stunned the holiday weekend with more than $132million.

It is common for film creators to promote behind-the-scene features of new movies, but "The Lego Batman Movie" is quite unusual. As per GameSpot, this animated movie introduced a cool and parody look of its creation dubbed "Behind the Bricks."

"The LEGO Batman Movie" stars Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Michael Cera as Robin/Dick Grayson. The movie also includes Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, and Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth.

Meanwhile, the other Valentine's Day weekend movie to watch out for is "John Wick: Chapter 2," a sequel to the astounding 2014 action feature. Keanu Reeves starred as the iconic character. The movie will introduce a mini-Matrix reunion since Laurence Fishburne will also appear in the movie.

"Fifty Shades Darker," on the other hand, features the comeback of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Its initial series was a discerning fiasco but financially victorious. All movies mentioned above hit the silver screens on Feb. 10.
