Nintendo Latest News: Company Terminates Wii U Production, Better Console Introduced Next Month

Nintendo shut the portal on Wii U model and is set to reveal a new console next month. The company released an official statement terminating the console production worldwide.
According to WWG, Nintendo announced the end of production on its official website along with its declaration that Wii U would not be retailed anymore. That area could be used for the Nintendo Switch when it releases on March 3.
The company was able to dispatch only 13.56 million items since its debut in November 2012. It is the lowest number of selling product throughout the company's history. In fact, 101 million Wii units were retailed years before. However, the scheme was not yet a huge downfall.
Wii U may not have met the third-party trade as Nintendo was expecting but still, it's not yet bad enough. This is because there were remaining considerable first-party games to get players to always come back.
These include HD outlets of both "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" and "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess." These arrived with a cluster of prototype titles such as the breathtaking "Bayonetta 2," "Mario Kart 8," "Splatoon" and "Paper Mario: Color Splash."
As per GameSpot, the end of Wii U production is really not shocking since Nintendo already affirmed last year that it will stop soon in Japan. In November 2016, the company forwarded all of its Wii U freight to North American outlets and this will cease in March 2017.
Nintendo also announced its income -- 760,000 units of Wii U were sold in nine months. That was below 75 percent compared to the income during a similar period in the previous fiscal year.
The upcoming console of Nintendo is the Switch, which is a hybrid console from the company. This said device will be available for purchase on March 3. It will allow people to play games at home on a TV or on-the-go with its portable design.
