Samsung is certain not to release Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus during the 2017 Mobile World Congress in late February. However, a new premium device from the company is expected to be unveiled on that said event, which is the Galaxy Tab S3.
The Galaxy Tab S3 accepted an FCC certification yesterday, Jan. 31, SlashGear reported. The tablet was certified with two versions: the SM-T825 model has WiFi only while the SM-T820 added LTE connectivity. This indicates that the speculation that took for months is set to end as fans are expecting Samsung to launch the tab at MWC 2017.
The Galaxy Tab S3 could drag Samsung in the spotlight since the supposed release of Galaxy S8 leaves the company empty. The information about the Galaxy Tab S3 circulated from reports in South Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will arrive in 9.6-inch 2,048 x 1,536 display and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will is also said to feature 32 GB of internal storage. Only 24 GB will be available for the consumers, but its memory can be expanded up to 256 GB.
The Galaxy Tab S3 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat under Samsung's TouchWiz UI. The tab is expected to produce great images with its 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording potentials.
A 5-megapixel front-facing camera will also be used for selfies and video conferencing. The device will present a shiny design and will be extra thin at 5.6mm thickness.
According to GSMArena's report, the Galaxy Tab S3 was originally scheduled to launch in 2016. The presumed period has come and gone but Samsung instead released refreshed versions of the 2015 Tab S2 duo.
The Galaxy Tab S3 was claimed to be initially released in Korea starting in March with an alleged price of approximately $600. It was also claimed to have a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging.
